Defense Logistics Consulting/Compliance

Defense Logistics Services can provide consulting and training on a variety of subjects ranging from the Civil Reserve Air Fleet (CRAF), made up of US flag air carriers and their appointed agents who are eligible to compete directly for USDOD air cargo; Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC), the US entity that certifies any U.S. company as an exporter of defense related materiel; Foreign Military Sales (FMS), which includes the regulations surrounding the representation of a foreign government purchasing and transporting defense related materiel from the US federal government; Defense Security Service (DSS) which oversees security requirements for FMS cases and classified or otherwise regulated materiel and shipments and ; International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Every DDTC registered company should have a sales and operations manual specific to the defense industry. While heavily regulated, defense logistics can be made much simpler, while still supporting healthy profit margins. A deep understanding of reasons why specific regulations exist is vital to a successful defense logistics program. Our mission is to provide our clients with a broad expertise of the requirements and how to comply 100% within their own environment.

Our proficiency in four areas of defense logistics represents a well-rounded industry sector for any of our clients.

  • Direct Dept of Defense logistics (CRAF required)
  • private US defense contractors
  • Foreign Military Sales (contracting with foreign governments purchasing defense related materials directly from the US government
  • Other government agencies (OGA) such as Dept of State, FEMA, USAID, etc.

Our experience and continuous operations in hostile and highly volatile areas, in support of the United States Armed Forces, is well-documented. We’re proud of our record. Our commitment and dedication is manifested through the actions of our Team. Our “can do” attitude makes the difference!
